RecyclingRecycling is not new at all, even if it is new to us in its present incarnation.  Whether done at home or as part of a larger, a organized recycling program, has far-reaching consequences for a society. It is important to recycle to bring our society back into balance due to overstepping its boundaries over the years due to ignorance and is a major importance.  When studying History, it is apparant that they always recycled their refuse as a society.  Whenever these items disappeared from use, there is evidence that they were found elsewhere, it usually means they were recycled.

Also, there is written and physical evidence to reminds us that precious metals and paper were very heavily recycled in Ancient Greece and Rome.  This includes such metals as lead, iron, copper, zinc, bronze and brass, which were all recycled at one time or another.  There are even records of paper drives in Ancient Rome.  In recent years, the ancient facilities where paper recycling took place have been found along with some of the actual recycled 2,000 year old paper.
